Had a good evening at the opening night last week and lucky to have sold two pieces. A few photos of the event. The middle one of the series below sold as did Haunted by Arrows V which has usually been a fave with people.

SALA 10, La Caz Creole, Semaphore

This is the Cafe and the set up.

SALA 10, Coastline

This is the centre piece of the exhibit really. Without sounding immodest the photos don't do it justice. Its much brighter in reality and its also against a pale green wall that suits it well.

SALA 10 Jimi Bubbles

I used foam rollers for this one and the next - "Wonder". This reminded me a bit of Hendrix (especially from the newer CD cover of Electric Ladyland) but also of the character Bubbles from The Wire, an all time fav. programme. As often happens I spot these things after the event.

SALA 10 Wonder

SALA 10 Oscar

An older one from last year but it sat well with the Faces theme and the general colour scheme

SALA 10 Madam Facepack

SALA 10 Blue Woman

SALA 10 Pink Zinc And A Stubbie

SALA 10 Iris

These are a bit of a departure for me..not ususally into flowers. However, I've done a few pics for family members and Joan and Iris are my two Aunts in England. These are for them!

SALA 10 Joan

SALA 10 Haunted by Arrows V

A couple of older pieces from a larger series that fit in with the Coastal theme.

Loss of studio

Sadly this week I have ben informed that I have to vacate my studio space. It has been mainly just me working there and two others who rent a space but barely use it. The others spaces have been used on and off for two years but more off than on! Steve, the sub-letter, has found someone to rent the whole space so I have to move. Went to a few spaces to have a look but none were suitable/practical etc. I have decided to use our spare bedroom for the time being. This will free up a bit of cash and may increase the amount I do. Or not. We shall see. It may just be a temporary thing and I'll search again in a few months time. If anyone knows of spaces in eh Port area of Adelaide then I'd be happy to view.

Landscape

I completed this one a little while ago but have been a bit unsure where it sits with the rest of my work. However, thought that I'd just post it anyway. It was done with many layers of oils worked into a rough piece of board so it is very textured. It shows an Australian landscape from several viewpoints at once. The sea is to the right.
